We did think about it. We would have needed to double up on often used lenses, such as the 18-200mm, but could have shared less often used lenses, such as the 10.5mm fisheye. We could also have shared common accessories, such as the battery charger.
It would have made a lot of sense, but she already has a bunch of 'leftover' Canon lenses. In a way, we don't mind using separate systems. That way, we can keep abreast with the latest advances each manufacturer brings :o)
